The management will like to wish all staff and players together with their families a very merry christmas and a happiest new year
Recently, regular players for the team will know how hard it is to get together a starting 11 just to play a match. It is almost impossilble to get a team and play without loaning players from outside.
Though this is a short term solution, it is by no means going to solve the player woes of our club.
There have been talks about a merger with a neighbouring club in Seng Kang who are facing danger of administration if they continue to choose to walk over matches due to a problem in starting a match with 11 players.
Talks have been going well and directors of both clubs have, in the interest of both clubs been submitting proposals and negotiating terms about the merger of the two teams.
There has been a tentative agreement for the neighbouring club to adopt the team name of our club(which at this moment is undergoing a revamp).
Though there have been causes of concern for some players in Balukus Utd with fear of competition for their almost guranteed position in the starting 11, not all members are against the idea of merger. Explosive winger Zhi Hong was quoted as saying"Sure I welcome the idea of a merger. Afterall, it's for the benefit of our clubs and I will definitely relish competition as that will ensure improvement for the players and only then will the club be moving in the right direction."
On a side note, the management was asked about their intended action against the players who have been failing to turn up repeatedly for training sessions.
They had replied that no discpilnary action will be taken just yet and commented:"
I know its cliche but yes, you need to have heart to play for Balukus. So to the faltering few; take a break. Whenever you're READY and WILLING, contact me personally for match details as the door is always open.'
